unnamedOur School Year

Little Seeds School Year will be opening it’s doors on January 2nd, 2015 for it’s first group of students.

We are always scheduling tours and meetings to get to know potential students and their parents. It’s never too early to reach out and see if Little Seeds Farm School might be a great fit for your child so please feel free to get in touch today!

This initial session will run from January 5th, 2015 to August 1st, 2015.

After this first session, our 10-month program will run from September 1st thru May 31st each year.

Below you will find an overview of some of the frequently asked questions about our program but scheduling a meet and greet with Teacher Brittany is a great way to discuss the program in further depth and see if it might be a perfect fit for your child.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Parent Benefits

It is important to our holistic philosophy to strongly involve parents in as many ways as possible with their children’s preschool experience. We love to extend our thanks for being members of our school community by providing some fun extra perks for being a Little Seeds Farm School parent.

Date Nights

We believe that strong relationships between parents are a key to happy kids. Little Seeds Farm School is therefore proud to offer a free quarterly Date Night for parents. From 5 PM – 8 PM, while parents are enjoying their free time, our students help us prepare a healthy, kid-friendly dinner and have a special night adventure where we learn about stars and planets and have storytelling time in tents!

Farm to Table Dinners

Little Seeds hosts occasional gatherings at our urban farm where we share some of our seasonal produce together at the table. Our student’s are involved in the planning of the meal and harvesting of the ingredients and get to show off some of their year’s work. This is a great time to relax, have fun with the other families and celebrate our prosperity.

Farm Stand

Little Seeds Farm School is an active participant in our Portland community and we love to share this experience with our families. At the Little Seeds Farm Stand, our students gather some of the produce that they have worked hard to nurture during the growing season and donate it to our Portland friends and neighbors. Each student will fill their own produce crate with whatever organic fruits and veggies they choose from their personal plot and proudly offers them up. The Farm Stand is a great way for our children to learn about the joy of giving, share some of the horticultural knowledge they have gained and be filled with pride in their creations! A parent volunteer is encouraged to lend a hand with this event.
